Editing the videos

After viewing and having some serious evaluation of the footages, we went straight to editing with the ones we have chosen. We make very basic cuts, specifically J-cuts and Jump cuts. We used jump cuts in the following shots after the character has found out that there's blood on her hands to show her mental state: panicking and anxious. Moreover, we incorporate party shots in between the panicking shots to indicate that the character is having flashbacks of what had happened. Besides, J-cut is used for when we add in music, to ensure a smooth transition from the character receiving the text and her walking in circles.

Apart from basic cuts, we also added some effects and color grade the footages to not only cover up the mistakes we made in production, but also arise feelings better. For instance we added some shaky effects to footages that the camera was unintentionally shaky and shots where the actress' acting was not good. Furthermore, we color grade footages with blood to make it seem more realistic.

We had to make 2-3 drafts and a lot of corrections but I think it is all worth it because I'm very satisfied with the final product!
